Wii EA Sports Active
The Wii EA Sports Active was developed by Oprah’s personal trainer and fitness expert Bob Greene. It provides some of the best workouts via a video game console I’ve ever seen. Exercising with the Wii Active is both motivating and fun.
With EA Sports Active it’s easy to maintain a regular workout regimen that improves your physical fitness and increases healthy living. You can choose from a large variety of workouts including circuit training, (which target the muscles of the upper and lower body) cardio workouts, (to promote a healthy heart and fat loss) and a variety of interactive activities.
The EA Sports Active can be enjoyed by every member of your household to promote healthy living. Utilizing the Wii Remote/Nunchuck tethered controller, EA SPORTS Active is more focused on physical activities that a get results than previous exercise oriented titles. If you we’re unimpressed by the workout you got with the Wii Fit, then the EA Sports Active is just what you need.
The interactive Sports Active fitness program is more focused on activities than previous ‘fitness’ titles for the Wii. It will challenge you to develop a healthier lifestyle while promoting healthy choices through it’s routines, and profile setup.
Activities are separated into the three distinct sections titled nutrition, workout, and lifestyle. To get started you set up a user profile, select a virtual personal trainer and enter personal data like your fitness goals, age, gender and weight.
Once you’ve customized the system to your specific settings you’re ready to start a physical workout regimen which is the primary focus of the EA SPORTS Active program. As you progress in your workouts different routines are introduced and your progress is monitored by a virtual personal trainer.
As you utilize the instruction fro your trainer you’ll get fine-tuned analysis and real-time feedback about your workout form. Information like the amount of calories you’ve burned and ongoing player motivation is helpful to keep you on track and motivated to keep going. As you go along you can adjust levels of exercise intensity to adjust toy your comfort level.
EA Sports Active Accessories
Most of the use of the game will utilize a combination of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck controllers, however there are other accessories you’ll use to maximize efficiency. One of these is a controller leg strap with motion sensing capabilities.
The leg strap when attached to their upper thigh and slipping the Nunchuck controller into it then connected to the Wii Remote will help monitor your leg movements. This is especially beneficial when performing strength training activities like squats, or cardio exercises like jogging or cardio boxing.
Increasing the intensity of your workouts is achieved by using another accessory called the resistance band. This is designed to increase workout intensity when performing shoulder presses, bicep curls or lifts. The unit is also compatible with the Wii Balance board (not included) and can be used for many of the EA SPORTS Active workouts as an optional added controller.
