In the Dark Knight Batman played by Christian Bale and directed by Christopher Nolan sets off to destroy organized crime in Gotham City. Unfortunately the Joker played by Heath Ledger proves that removing the criminal underworld from Gotham is not an easy task. The city nears anarchy as the Joker forces Batman into a fatal confrontation and makes him decide between crossing the line from hero to vigilante.
