With all of the health benefits associated with drinking water you want your water bottle to be healthy also. Many bottles are made from plastics that contain BPA. BPA stands for Bisphenol A and is found in plastics and plastic additives and has been known to be hazardous.

Other negative health effects of drinking from BPA bottles are believed to be obesity, neurological issues, Thyroid function, and even cancer. While the scientific research is still being conducted to just how bad BPA is on the body, it is advisable to drink from BPA free water bottles to avoid any adverse health effects.
